For many youth, quality care means temporary placement in a residential program. The Children’s Home of Wheeling offers young boys an opportunity to heal from past abuse and neglect and to stabilize their life, so that they can focus on their personal development.
The Children’s Home of Wheeling was able to establish a full time art education program at The Children’s Home of Wheeling due to a start up grant from the WV Commission on the Arts Division of Culture and History with approval from the West Virginia Commission on the Arts. This grant is part of the National Endowment on the Arts Challenge America/Arts in Education Initiative project.
